Description

DERIVED 2-minute-averaged energetic particle flux data obtained by the SIXS-P sensor aboard the BepiColombo MPO s/c.
All flux values are GROUND CALIBRATED data in units of 1/(cm^2 sr s MeV) and averaged to 2-Minute-Mean values.
The flux is given in four viewing directions, indicated by prefixes Side0_, Side1_, Side2_, and Side3_ in the column names.
Noisy periods and periods with significant packet loss between the instrument and back-end electronics were removed.
These data were calculated using the results of the so-called bow-tie analysis, which means that the fluxes are given at an effective
energy of the channel. This approximation works well only when the energy spectrum of the particles is a decreasing function of energy.
